Mission Statement
We Believe
1. In one God, the creator of all things, who reveals himself as Father, Son, and Spirit.2. In Jesus Christ, who is fully God and fully man at the same time, who became like us to bring about our salvation.
3. In the Holy Spirit, who is active in the world, bringing us to salvation.
4. That the Bible is the Word of God, giving us all we need to know about how to be saved (made right with God).
5. That we are all sinners by both nature and act and need God's forgiveness and cleansing.
6. That Jesus Christ died on the Cross and that, by trusting in His death, we can be restored to a right relation with God.
7. That each person must repent, turn away from his sins, and trust Christ to accept him. That God has enabled us to turn to Him from sin but that He has not forced us to do so.
8. That when we turn from sin and trust in Christ, the old record of sin is wiped clean, and we are born anew, thus becoming part of the family of God.
9. That after being born anew, we need the fullness of God's Spirit in our hearts. When we make a complete commitment to Him, He cleanses our spirit, fills us with His perfect love, and gives us the power to live victoriously.
10. That Jesus Christ is coming again and that everyone shall face the judgment of God with its rewards and punishments.
11. In the Lord's Supper and baptism and urge people to be baptized as Christians.
12. That God can heal. We pray for healing. We also believe that God can work through medical science.
We Are A Church Of Increased Imagination
What in the world is "a church of increased imagination?" It is a group
of ordinary people who faithfully worship and serve an extraordinary
God. They have experienced the depth of God's love for them in Christ
Jesus, and desire to flesh it out in daily living. They know that the
love of God is powerful enough to forgive their worse sins,give them a
fresh start on life with Jesus Christ, bring healing and wholeness to
damaged emotions, and enable them to live a life of Christian integrity
and purity because they have experienced His gracious forgiveness and
cleansing.
Because this church is made up of people who've experienced God's
transforming power in their lives, we believe nothing is impossible for
God. A church of increased imagination believes that God is able
to do
immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power
that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ
Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
